This driving simulator puts you behind the wheel of a powerful truck and entrusts you with several different missions. Euro Truck Simulator's activities consist on taking cargo from one place to another and getting paid for the delivery. Saving enough money you will eventually be able to buy better and faster trucks to be able to work more and earn more money. The main idea in Euro Truck Simulator is quite original. We're used to car, motorbike and even airplane driving simulators, but not many focused on trucks. The game features excellent, highly realistic graphics and gives you a real taste of life on the road as a truck driver.
However, the steering is extremely sensitive to the slightest touch and there doesn't seem to be anyway to change this. Boring gameplay The major problem however is that Euro Truck Simulator becomes a boring game quite easily. Whether it is the repetitive sound of the engine, the slowness of driving a truck or the lack of real action, the game definitely lacks excitement. Maybe if you could play your own music on the truck's radio, or get into some more action by delivering illegal stuff and occasionally being chased by the cops, Euro Truck Simulator would be more exciting.
Euro Truck Simulator is also extremely similar to German Truck Simulator and UK Truck Simulator on Windows. Euro Truck Simulator is a pretty original game, with excellent graphics but it gets boring quite easily.
A trucker's dream There are many truck simulators out there, but ETS is one of the most famous and best loved. That is sure to continue with Euro Truck Simulator 2. Trucks look great, and are all licensed from companies like Scania, Renault and MAN.
You'll be able to customize the performance and look of your trucks too. There are over 60 cities in Euro Truck Simulator 2, in UK, Belgium, Italy, the Netherlands, and more. Your task is to build a successful freight company, making deliveries across the continent in good time. While the focus is obviously driving, doing jobs to earn money, buy your own truck, and eventually your own fleet and hir other drivers means you can get very involved with the game. It's not unlike an role playing game, but with trucks and timber instead of dragons and talking trees.Euro Truck Simulator 2 is constantly being updated with more vehicles and tweaks to truck handling and physics, making it ever more realistic. There is also a dedicated community of fans creating mods for the simulator - meaning there's a ton of stuff you can add for free. On top of this there's lots of premium DLC from developer SCS Software, including a huge additional map pack called Going East, which lets you truck all over Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary. Despite its charms, Euro Truck Simulator can feel a bit daunting and dry for newcomers.
Trucking fans will be eager to dive in, but for anyone less sure whether a life behind the wheel is for them, some patience and persistence is required. There's an introductory tutorial, but you will likely still feel a bit lost once it's over.Once you've got into it and mastered the controls, Euro Truck Simulator 2 gets into its stride and rythm. While it's a much better looking sim than its predecessor, if you stop to look around too long, the environments feel stale. SImilarly, while its improving, traffic doesn't feel quite right.
All of this can be forgiven and forgotten if you enjoy long road trips at relatively low speeds!
