Hi guys, I am a new owner of my first Apple and since yesterday I am not able to conect with my network via ethernet via Powerline adapter. The only issue I have is that my iMac can see the network but is not able to conect with Internet.
My status is: connected (IPv4: using DHCP) plus description: 'Ethernet itself has an assigned IP address and can not connect to the Internet' I was trying everything with restarting my router, all adapters. I don't know if iMac is connected with adapters or with my DSL router. Maybe I should change the IPv4 configuration and use other options: DHCP with manual IP, or manual. This is ironic because I have WiFi connection directly with my DSL router but the signal is poor.
That was the main reason why I have bought the Powerline adapters. Have anyone had problem like this?
I desperately need a solution!!! Thanks for any tip. Did you have the Powerline stuff working before you went for the Mac? The Powerline device does not control IP addresses, that is down to the modem/router. That is probably a good place to look for solutions.

Can you troubleshoot by using a direct LAN connection to the router? That will confirm if this is a Powerline problem or down to a fight between the Mac and the router.
